Dakshinamurthy - Kerala Mural

Dakshinamurthy is one of the well known iconic representaions of Shiva and this form represents Him as the Supreme Teacher. Dakshinamurthy's uniqueness as a teacher lies in the fact that he teaches through silence, through his all-pervasive Consciouness.

  2. Good work. I have one suggestion and one question.

Question: What are the dimensions of the painting and how long did it take to complete it?

Suggestion: As you evolve your painting try to create your own drawings for the murals based on themes which you find interesting. That is ,learn the style but dont take the sketches from elsewhere.
Infact this is what i am thinking to do after 2 or 3 more murals(which will be based on sketches from other works).
This way we can give some original contribution to the art. Otherwise, this will also become a recycling art like tanjore painting.

  5. Very colourful indeed!!As a painting it looks light and impressive but there is no depth of a feeling and I think you are capable of much better than this.
